2. Work with a weight loss coach. A trained professional can help you lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way. Diets don’t usually work as one solution doesn't fit all. You need to be assessed on your needs and goals and even your genetic makeup. A better way to have accountability is with an expert in weight loss.



3. Don't go on a "diet, change your lifestyle instead. Most people go on "diets" and don't plan for what's next so they go back to their old habits and to where their body was before. You have to take small sustainable steps that are lasting such as staying hydrated throughout the day and making sure you have enough sleep to rest your mind and body.

4. Figure out how much protein you need to maintain your muscle mass (muscle burns fat). Then figure out what that is in ounces and divide that into 2 meals using the intermittent fasting technique. You can then match the ounces with low glycemic fruits and vegetables for each meal such as celery, cucumber, peppers, mushrooms, and low sodium pickles.

5. Cut down on unnecessary sweet foods, anything that contains too much sugar. There is nothing that can prevent a sugar craving from ruining your diet quite like sugar itself. You can start by cutting back on your favorite sweet desserts or snacks that are high on carbs, and replace them with a green tea meal instead.
